What Are Carbon Facials?

Carbon facials are popping up all over social media, and they are more than just a satisfying video to watch as the laser destroys the carbon in the face mask.

Also known as carbon laser treatment, carbon peel, or Hollywood peel, this treatment is a fantastic way to tighten the skin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, reduce pore size, exfoliate the skin, even skin tone, and eliminate blackheads and acne.

How does a carbon facial work?

The Laser it technician will start by gently cleansing and drying the face. A carbon mask is then applied to the face. As the mask dries on the face, it latches onto the dirt and grime present. After this, the technician will then use a laser to destroy the carbon. As the carbon is destroyed, the dirt and grime is too. The results of the facial are seen immediately!

Does it hurt?

The carbon facial treatment is non-invasive. The laser will make a snapping and cracking sound as it breaks up the carbon (it’s actually therapeutic!), but the treatment itself is not painful. Some clients may feel a small pricking sensation throughout the treatment.

After the treatment

After the treatment is done, the face may be red. This is completely normal. Use aloe gel daily afterwards. You’ll notice a reduction of skin troubles and have brighter skin after the treatment!
